Lord of the Flies By Sir William Golding Blurb
A plane crashes on a desert island and the only survivors, a group of school boys, assemble on the beach and wait to be rescued. By day they inhabit a land of bright fantastic birds and dark blue seas, but at night their dreams are haunted by the image of a terrifying beast. As the boys' delicate sense of order fades, so their childish dreams are transformed into something more primitive, and their behaviour starts to take on a more murderous, savage significance.

5 Facts and/or interesting questions.
1. The beast isn't actually real, it is the darkness and fear inside all of them.
2. Simon is the one to discover what the beast actually is before he is circled by the others and killed.
3. The Lord of the Flies is the pigs head on the stake, Simon named it that because of all of the flies.
4. Would kids ever be able to run their own society without adult help?
5. Does anyone else other than Simon know what the beast truly is?
5 Question interview with Jack
1. Why do you want to be chief?
Because I would be better, all Ralph does is worry about the stupid fire and conch.
2. How would you be a better chief?
I would get more meat for the tribe.
3. Why did you hate Piggy so much?
Because he didn't do any work, he sat next to Ralph where he didn't have to work.
4. Why were you trying to kill Ralph?
Because he wasn't a part of the tribe and he came to my side of the island.
5. At the start you and Ralph were friends, why did that friendship not last?
Because all he wanted to do was keep the fire going, but we need meat, so I took everyone and went hunting.
It took me about 5-6 days to finish the book, the parts that I liked in the book were the parts where there was action for example when Ralph is being chased at the end and when Simon is killed, otherwise it was a pretty boring book. There were some parts that made no sense when it was happening, I only found out what actually happened later in the book, like when simon was talking to the Lord of the Flies. The best bits for me were when there was action and something to grab you.
